Since 2010, the Boonville Bike Club has proven after-school bike clubs as an excellent way to get more kids on trails. After eight years of seeing the benefits in Boonville we expanded our vision to create new chapters in other communities. Booster Clubs are what we call each chapter and we would love to help form one in your community!

TrailHeadz Mountain Bike Racing is the competition development arm of Trail Heads - Southwest Indiana. Led by Scott Wilhelmus (Hearing Works), the team will support local youth and adults as they race in all forms of mountain bike events (XC, short track, pumptrack, dual slalom, enduro, downhill, gravel). All costs for the program, including team jersey and race entry fees, are complimentary thanks to the following sponsors for 2023: Kight Home Center, Hearing Works, Cycling Solutions Bike Shop, Phonak Hearing Systems, Starkey Hearing Technologies, Signia Hearing Instruments, and REM Bicycle Shop!

Trail Heads - Vanderburgh County

EST. 2024

Vanderburgh County will be our first program for a major metropolitan area! By partnering with Community One, CenterPoint YMCA, and Dream Center we will place an emphasis on making mountain biking accessible to youth in underserved communities. Thanks to the CenterPoint Energy Foundation and Cycling Solutions Bicycle Shop, we will provide our local partners with a fleet of mountain bikes and enclosed trailer to be shared among them. Led by Brad Scales, Trail Heads - Vanderburgh County will provide training and support for these programs as they introduce participants to the new trails we have developed at USI and beyond.

Quality trails increase quality of life.

Trail Heads uses our experience with trail stewardship and after-school bike programs to offer the School-to-Trail Initiative. The goal of this initiative is for students in every school to have safe and easy access to trails and bike parks. To meet this goal, we are helping other schools form after-school programs while advocating for local bike parks and safe routes to community trails through on and off-road trail systems. Let us know how we can help your community.

Red Dome Bike Park-Boonville

The Boonville Bike Club has served as a trail steward for the Scales Lake Park since 2010. We have helped maintain the park's 6.75-mile loop, over a mile of which we have designed and helped construct. We also designed and constructed the Red Dome Bike Park featuring 2.25-mile practice trail, jump lines, jump trails, pump track, slopestyle trails, challenge course, dual slalom track, and straight rhythm track.

Birk & Berg Bike Park - Jasper

Jasper Bike Club has built an amazing bike park on high school property that is adjacent to the Jasper Parklands. The highlight of the Birk & Berg Bike Park is the 20,000 square foot, dual-racing pumptrack! The park also boasts a 1/4-mile flow trail and 3/4-mile beginner trail. Many local businesses and individuals have contributed greatly to this project to make it a perfect example of what can happen when you get more kids on bikes!
